tear membrane off of the back of the ribs, wash and place on a big strip of that non stick tinfoil. take about a tsp of habenero hot sauce and rub it on ribs. season with dry rub, to taste. close up foil and throw em on the grill, if ya use charcoal grill, make sure your fire is on the opposite side of where you are placing the ribs.
three hours later, sauce em and enjoy!

not really... he just had an expensive green Jack Wolfskin Fleece on and the monkeys seemed attracted to it... his brother had one too but in blue and they barely looked at him... nobody was allowed to feed the monkeys

I spent all afternoon outside on a tractor and running a chainsaw. My parents still own 3 of the 6 acres where we grew up and they are older so it is my job to take care of the property. Damn I am beat, we had a 20 minute downpour which made the humidity rise, and it sucked the energy out of me. I just got out of the shower and do not feel any better.

More beer, took my meds, and pump water in between. Then I am back at it tomorrow.

Just left the hospital where my almost six y/o daughter will be spending the night. Was there all day. Several x-rays and an abdominal CT scan later at least the surgen isn't in a big hurry to go after her appendix. Poor thing went all day without a single bite to eat and only a big glass of crap to drink before the scan. Be fore he left, the surgen himself went and got her a turkey and cheese sandwich and chocolate milk. She said it wasn't that good but she wasn't about to stop eating it.

Fingers crossed she'll feel better in the morning.

middle school is the worst, there are many days i have to walk away from her and her sassy mouth. she's in a really judgemental phase too, it annoys me. the only saving grace is she'll grow out of it, Alex did :clap:.
Alex is up in TN for a week, i said call me if ya get bored. So far the only call i got was to say they made it safely. i am fighting the urge to call her, time to let go of the of the apron strings.

Several people responded that the wild pig tastes like shit because they eat from peoples garbage and such (like any scavenger animal) so if you wanted to eat the meat you would first have to capture the pig and feed it normal pig food for a bit before killing it in order to make it taste good. I've never eaten anything that has not come from a supermarket so I have no idea how it works. Only thing I know about squirrel is to not eat the brains because of some type of horrible disease.

When you skin it look at the meat, is it light brownish-red and look at the heart. If the heart has a lot of fat around it it is old and will be tough.

Coming from an overcrowded suburb we didn't have any of that. There used to be rabbits around here but now you find them more east of me. I think too much traffic and over-development pushed them off. I doubt someone around here could shoot one anyway without attracting the attention of the police. Most shooting around here is drug and/or crime related :laugh: But we did have lots of fresh fish growing up as a kid since my dad used to fish a lot. I won't eat anything that comes from our waters now though, too much pollution around us. They had to tell people to not harvest the oyster beds because of a shellfish neurotoxin. Fun stuff.

I love and have thanked my parents for the way I grew up. I miss (because I developed an adult allergy) going right down the road from here and picking up a cooler full of fresh shrimp from a boat that had just come in.

As a young kid I was probably desensitized to the killing of an animal for food. I was ingrained with a deep sense of respect for nature and would never kill just for the fun of it. The only way I kill is if I intend to eat, put something out of suffering, or in self defense. I am thankful that the animal had died to fill my belly and hold a lot of respect for that animal.

there used to be a real long thread on fba... after it reached 100k posts someone got silly and moved it into the mod section... people were quite upset... it was hilarious... then I think the mod trying to move it back deleted it by accident...haha
