How this for a bad day?
The guy I raise pigs for had a power outage at his nursery. 1700 head of pigs suffocated when his back up ventilation system failed. He's been losing money for some time on hogs in part due to misinformation on the H1N1. I don't think his insurance covers that type of lose. The average value of that size pig was probably around $35. I can't tell you what he lost considering he would have sold them as fully grown market hogs.

He had a really bad day. Oh, and now my building sits empty because most of those were head to me.

I remember from my time on the farm...

I stopped over to the shop at my mom's place this morning and as I was driving out she flagged me down. A window in her spare bedroom had just smashed in from the outside, two panes all the way through. We had no explaination for why. I boarded it up and went on my way. I stopped back a couple hours later and she showed me some feathers she found while cleaning up. We started looking around and this flew out of the closest, smashing around the room until i caught it. It seems it's neck was broken and died while I was holding it. I have cell phone video, but I don't know if I can upload it.

Hens are off limits as far as hunting goes so I've never actually had one to clean. She was smaller then a rooster for sure. It didn't make much sense just to waste an eatible bird.

i clipped a deer into an oncoming vehicle once....the entire contents of the torso of the deer coated the inside of the truck and driver....who was not injured. its a shame it was before camera phones, the look of this lady was priceless....:lol:

Well I have to get ready and get to some work. My landscape job has been a total ass fuck so far.. We have exposed dirt (mud) and all the wood structure that we need to pave up to is completely rotted so the customer had to call in a carpenter. So I have to go meet him to make sure his rebuild plan won't interfere with out work.
I am hoping that the ground can soak up some of this rain , because it is awful hard to grade mud. The fucking rain that came through was about 10 hrs to fast for us so now we will have to spend an additional half day because of it. Not to mention the fact that it totally fucked our timeline and the customer has company coming on the 11th looks like they will be able to behold the mess rather than the new and improved landscape
