That feature is a double edged sword. Sure, it is interesting to see how many guests are viewing a thread, etc. But people also sometimes get creeped out by it. And too many people would copy and paste who was viewing a thread just to have something to post and be annoying.

i never get why i'd get complaints as a mod like "this person is always hanging out in my thread...its creepy, ban them". Like people forget its a public forum and everyone from all around the world can see what you type

I think the problem is people start to look at certain types of threads as private in a way. Kinda like paltalk rooms. Think back to all the times you would hear/read people commenting on lurkers, those names you see all the time and they never type anything, ever.

what people forget is that when FBA was started, it actually had a purpose. It was the alternative place to the only game in town (Wackbag) where people wanted to get away from the restrictive rules. Now there are so many messageboards that there is no need for it (and i think Doug did the right thing by blowing it up when the site was clearly an embarrassment from its original intent). But besides that, Struff clearly wants a site thats exactly like Wackbag. All he wrote about in the mod forum is how no one should bash the show and people should be banned for bashing the show. It offers nothing to the fans

Also its kinda sad too. The fba era ended..i think everyone agreed. Its like, when Tussletussle came back asking for the "Peppermints" to return. In life, you gotta know when its over. If not, its just sad

the point was not about who struff is... the fact is that the board they all post on now already existed as a fluke on the side while FBA was still running.
some people were there already, some just end up there after FBA died.
I think that the people who have found rf.net to be their place to post and have become more or less regulars since the "explosion" are very unlikely to leave for the other board...

I have posted on every major board for the two shows. I understand if you are a diehard O and A fan posting on a board for there show. But if you are netural or RF all the way then this is the only place out there that makes since. I have left on a number of time and will many more I am sure, sometime you just need a break. But RF.net for the most part is full of great people and its a Great board. That is why people come back time after time.
