I have been unable to sleep for 48 hours now and am beginning to worry. In the dead of night when I am able to doze off as soon as I go out my body is having some sort of jerk reaction where I violently jerk awake, and it feels like I'm gasping for air. I've fallen asleep in the truck with my coworker who has told me that I scared the shit out of him when jerking awake. Also when I'm able to put together a half an hour or so I'm having nightmares/borderline hallucinations. I'm under a lot of weird stress right now as I have just broke up with my fiencee of 5.5 years and I'm drinking quite a bit this week too. Any ideas, normally I'd just pop a benedryl but I'm afraid of sheer terror in my sleep.
