the kid is fine now. all he needed was a little zyrtec in his life. as far as that lady goes, she put in a 10 day notice, which means that the child will be removed within that time and put in another home. actually, im glad he's getting taken out of there. something else was going on.

i think she didnt realize how much would be required from her within the first month of getting a foster kid. she probably only saw him as a walking paycheck. people dont realize that the child will have a lot of appts because the child was medically neglected before being put into care. we have to document everything that is wrong with the kid so we can know how to help that child.

i dont think any other kids are gonna get put in that home. thank goodness.

My brother and his wife are foster parents of a young girl that the mother was letting her boy friend sleep with for drugs. It is a sick story. At first my brother got some money from the state but now the kid's attorney went after the mother for child support to be paid to my brother. For the first 6 months the girl was quite the handful, but now my brother and his wife's values are rubbing off and the girl is doing much better. She has the potential to be a very smart kid and loves to talk. Now the mom wants her back but the state told her to fuck herself until a lot of requirements were met.

Everything is good! The cats are shedding like crazy right now so I'm battling lots of cat hair. Mike is doing great, he's upstairs waiting for the UPS guy to deliver our xbox back. there's an airshow this weekend, i'm trying to decide if i want to go, i've seen the thunder birds already, but it might be ok to see them again, it's free. :clap:
my youngest brought me home a watermelon plant, and it's growing like crazy, i gotta find a container for it, it has to stay on the deck where the vermin don't visit, i still don't know what imma do with a bunch of watermelons!

Then via my food processor I grate them into slim fry like material. While making the sauce I dump in the eggplant because it will soak up some of the acidic tomato sauce and flavors. It certainly adds a neat flavor and texture to your spaghetti.

remove from oven and indirect grill for an hour

brush on apple juice every 15 mins or so

enjoy and thank me later

(for more heat increase cayenne pepper)

Since they are indoor only cats we don't use anything, never had a flea on any of our indoor only animals. I'd call the vet and see what they recommend, because I know some of the treatments are harmful to kitties.

yikes, i never had to do that. bathing is bad enough, they act like i'm terrorizing them for no reason.but then me and the kids laugh cuz MJ looks skinny when her hair is wet :laugh:, she really is not fat, just fluffy! when she was a baby, she had short hair, i don't know what happened!

Well, the most common forms of skin cancer are found on my body. Squamous and basal cell carcinomas, this time it was another basal cell. These are wimpy forms compared to the bad boy melanoma. None the less, I am back to being checked (and carved on) every 6 months, and they are a little concerned because I am young and have had 3-4 (I forget). Yea me. :annoyed:

much better,shes out of the wheelchair but only has hearin in one ear,she had the tumor removed and it took her vertigo away but she lost all hearing in that ear,she sounded great this mornin,thanks for askin

just got home from visiting mom a little while ago
she has double pneumonia, which they believe she got somehow from the procedure she had done Friday; don't know how that could happen, maybe boosterp can explain:smile:

she looks much better, her fever is down and she is breath ok,
but its a shitty way to spend Mother's Day

It is difficult to explain since they normally do not put you under general anesthesia to do a colonoscopy. It could be from some other source such as a friend, or where she lives. It could also be hospital acquired but she would have to be in close contact with patients and or a contaminate health care worker. Without more info it would be difficult to make more of a guess.

well she was under a general anesthetic, and she had a chest x-ray a day or so before, during her pre-work.

Then it is likely that she got it then and without going into a lot of detail this is not uncommon. Older age, immune system weakened by a number of possibilities, and several other factors could of played a part in this. The important part is that she is being treated and will likely make a full recovery.

thanks, I really do appreciate your input on this, but what I'm looking for is someone to blame, an unknown face that I direct my frustrations on to.

It is difficult to ascertain certain blame in this case. There are many factors in this. Did she have a prior history of lung disease? Does the hospital currently have several cases of hospital acquired pneumonia? If she was cleared for this procedure 3 days prior was something missed?

I forgot to add that it is possible she aspirated (sucked some stomach contents, food, or drink) down into her lungs which could cause this too. This is also where age is a factor. The lab work would be able to show this though and it is most commonly occurs in just one lung and not bilateral.

Well, the most common forms of skin cancer are found on my body. Squamous and basal cell carcinomas, this time it was another basal cell. These are wimpy forms compared to the bad boy melanoma. None the less, I am back to being checked (and carved on) every 6 months, and they are a little concerned because I am young and have had 3-4 (I forget). Yea me. :annoyed:

I spoke with my mom today who is not at home this weekend. I mentioned that I will have Lukas tomorrow for mothersday and she says : "Oh right, you ARE a mother too... well I did not send you a card or anything..." So I replied... "well, that's ok... I did not send you flowers either cause you are not home"
She actually was excited about that and said: "Let's just spend the money by going out for drinks while you are visiting instead"

That's why I love my mom... we don't buy into fake hallmark holidays and rather spend the money wiser.

It would be more likely it would be aspiration from either when they inserted the endotrach tube or when they pulled it. Hence why age would play a part. But again why is it bilateral? The hospital acquired has too many factors especially if it was same day. Community based is another suspect.
