Speaking of Cindy... You know how awesome my girlfriend was that I had when I was 21? She knew I was very hot for the very new super model that is Cindy Crawford. When I was in the Navy, she was cool enough to send me the Playboy that Cindy was in. Along with some very nice pics of herself. Damn, she was cool.

So the recent fun with the conservative man who is totally immune to irony:
reposting in succession infographics of "the liberal media hates brave Rick Perry for standing up for the rights of the unborn" up against "government has its' hand in everything, needs to be smaller you dumimies!"
and also "Nixon bugs two buildings and gets drummed out of office, Obama bugs the whole world and everyone still loves him..." which is inaccurate and confusing on many, many levels.

I would make the same argument for a white kid. They need to figure out what happened because the most important thing is justice, but at the same time I think you can figure shit out in a less damaging matter and also exclude the press who has no restrictions in handling young witnesses. It shows the problem in the courts that it isn't a system trying to figure out whats right, it's a system where the prosecution and defense both try to win their position.
If I were king there would be no televised trials.

I really miss video stores. These boxes have so few movies. And streaming sucks. No real new releases available. And Netflix DVD service is too expensive if you go above one disc at a time. With my schedule, only having one or two at a time simply doesn't allow me to watch more than a couple movies a month.

I basically do one new movie a week but I watch a lot of streaming. I'm really inclined to watch both old and new stuff though, so it works for me. It seems like there is usually 1 new release a week I want to see so the pacing is perfect, you just need to get used to the disc being available a few weeks later than retail.

Ha! I sent this to my chick a few weeks ago. I thought she HAD to have been the only person in the world who pronounced a "Crayon" as a "Crown".
Turns out, she's not alone.
My daughter has some princess costumes, and also likes to color. My chick's poor pronunciation makes clean up time confusing. "Pick up your crowns" sends my girl looking for tiara's, while stepping on the waxy color things all over the floor.
And, yeah, there are actually people down here who refer to rain falling while the sun is shining as "The devil is beating his wife", although none I asked could explain why. Just something they were told as kids.

This job came up at work and I thought about applying for it but decided no to because I dont want to keep working here so therefore dont want to learn a new job. Now I see who got the job and I know with a certainty I would've gotten it, and actually I'm kindof shocked who they gave it to. But anyway, now I'm like damn, maybe I should've gone for it if they were going to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

I had to look up sun showers on wikipedia to see what that was about and while there was no explanation for why that phrase came about, there are a lot of weird ones for them. Like way, way back it freaked people out and they needed some mystical explanation. Actually, I think now it's supposed to be the devils wife's tears.
Also, there was an intern a few years that called milkshakes "cabinets" and, yeah, that's a term in small pockets of New England.
Sun showers is when it's one of those light rains that happens when it's bright and sunny. They happen mostly during the summertime. I remember they happen a lot when I was in Hawaii.

They call them "cabinets" in Rhode Island. One of the families I worked for spent the Summers in Little Compton, and they had an AMAZING ice cream place called Gray's. They had cabinets, and I had to ask what they meant. They're thicker than milkshakes, but are basically the same thing.

As a native Rhode Islander, there are shakes, cabinets and frappes.
To a person living in Rhode Island or the adjoining part of Massachusetts, a milk shake consists of milk shaken up with flavored syrup and nothing more; if ice cream is included, the drink is called a cabinet, possibly, says food writer John F. Mariani in The Dictionary of American Food and Drink, named after the square wooden cabinet in which the mixer was encased. Farther north in New England, the same drink is called a velvet or a frappe (from French frapper, "to ice"). (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/milk+shake)

We've got those here too, but I've never felt brave enough to try one.
Until McDonald's decides to carry Shamrock shakes and McRibs year round, I'm continuing my silent protest.
I asked one of the girls here to try to explain the "devil beating his wife" thing. It didn't make sense to me because, don't they believe that the devil is in some underground lair? Not up in the clouds?
She said she thinks she remembers her grandmother explaining that when the sun was shining, the angels could see when the devil was beating his wife, and when he did, they wept.
Still a stupid phrase.

It isn't even so much picking up the tab for the booze, it's how overcharged the booze is because it's a wedding.
I am at a period in my life though where anyone I'd invite to a wedding wouldn't drink hammer me on an open bar, and I've lost touch with all the shit bags I know that might've. My prospective bride just needs to not have dickhead friends.

I'm still racking up on the list of damages from the lightning strike at my house 6 days ago. So far it's...
Corner blown off of the shed in the back yard.
Wall outlet blown apart in garage.
Garage door opener... DEAD.
One of Dad's VCR's... DEAD.
One of Dad's UPS power back ups... DEAD.
Two outdoor security light units... DEAD.
It killed several CFL light bulbs in the house. I'm sure WF would love that.
Natural gas leak under the furnace (now fixed).
And I just noticed, when I turn on the clothes dryer, the ceiling light dims, when it never did before.
Lightning is some weird wacky stuff!
You sure you didn't get zapped to North Korea?

Get with the times. I haven't had blow in 14 years, and the only women I've paid dearly for sex are my ex wives.
And if I was still doing blow, $400 would last me a couple hours at most.

This is the one that keeps me from Ocean City, MD. The only time I ever drove over it, I didn't actually see it until I made it through the toll. As soon as I saw it, I pulled the fuck over. I managed to get across it, but at like 35mph and in a constant state of panic.

I sat at red light next to a Lamborghini today. I just looked it up. It costs around $400,000. I'm glad I didn't know at the time. I fear I may have been tempted to turn into it, just to see how bad it would fuck up my life to hit a car that costs that much.

I once drove past a Lotus all smashed to fuck on a guardrail with what must have been a 19 year old kid standing next to it looking petrified.
