Sparano gets a bad rap as he dosen't call most of the plays.

hes a glorified cheerleader. he could have and should have fired the OC (Henning ) last season and at any point during this season. He has no balls and never goes for it, he rather play it safe and kick FGs.

I liked him the 1st year but for the most part he has proven hes not HC material and the owner seems not to want to waste another year. Miami could easliy have at least 3 more wins. Jets, Pitts. Clev were all Miamis games to win. Then add Chicago which was an embarrassment like they werent even prepared and still only lost 16-0. We could even say the Pats game. I know it turned out to be a blow out but Miami was all over that team in the 1st half. They were winning at half time, should have had a huge lead at half but Sparano and Henning made terrible decisions. Add to that the special teams play, that team just gave up in the 2nd half.

They are better then they have shown on the field and it all comes down to coaching!

Would Cowher work as HC? Or would he want full control?

Though I love what Williams did for the team, he just saved an already great team at the end of the season, when they were in crisis. Like Ron always talks about, Skins fans are unnaturally optimistic by nature. The fact that season tickets are suddenly available, when said tickets (not counting club seating, which have been available for years due to their ridiculous cost), means the fans are actually starting to give up on them. For the first time in my memory, they aren't ending a bad season by saying "next year will be better". They are giving up their tickets.

Why should they be optimistic? Even if Shanahan and McNabb go, Lil' Danny Snyder still owns the team.

And the fans know Snyder has more fleecing to do.

Even my friends who are die-hard Skins fans hate going to that stadium. They have to empty their pockets for a shitty fan experience (product on the field notwithstanding).

Yah, well it went right through the Eagle db's arms so you might want to watch it again.

i saw it, manningham didnt really reach over or try to go up and get the ball cause he knew he would be hit, so he shied off and the DB had a chance. He didnt even jump or go to the ball.

that late hit on vick really wasn't bad at all

especially seeing as how he faked going out of bounds just 4 yards or so earlier and could have done it again right there. he got pushed a little on the line going out and then fell like a physical comic into the camera and the dominoes went down.

The Bears are going to win tomorrow, and after today the Giants are going to make mincemeat out of them next week.

Brady has been real lucky with picks the last two weeks. There were probably three last week that should have been picked, and then the one there.

But the blocking on the Patriots might be the best in the league. Brady rarely gets touched and sub-par RBs have huge holes to run through.

That's what happens when you use your 3rd and 4th round draft picks to get quality O-linemen and other skill positions like that, not trade them away to trade for some past-his-prime "star" like other teams I could name (cough cough *Redskins* cough cough)

Can one of you NFL gurus explain to me the league's reasoning for making the Eagles kick an extra point with no time left on the clock? I'm pretty sure that if you score a touchdown in overtime they don't make you kick the extra point. So why do you have to kick it in "regular time". The only reason I can imagine is that it might have an effect on the over/under which it obviously didn't in this game. But that can't be the league's reasoning, can it?

All it takes is a tuner card. I've had screen grabs on within a minute before.

well that might have to be my next purchase and question in the random tech question thread!

Gentlemen, your 2010 NFC North Champion Chicago Bears!

We've got bigger fish to fry, but we're getting a home playoff game. Now we need that bye.

This years oddball Super Bowl that would be a good game but is never going to happen? Bears v Jets.

Well this explains alot...
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/12/21/andy-reid-says-eagles-werent-seeing-replays-of-questionable-calls/

If the Eagles hadn’t managed to pull off the Miracle at the New Meadowlands, their head coach would be known as the Meathead of the New Meadowlands, based on his maddening failure to throw the red flag he was holding in his hand after the officials incorrectly ruled that receiver DeSean Jackson had fumbled in the second half.

Already up by 14, the Giants converted the turnover into another touchdown, pushing the lead to 21.

Reid said Monday that his staff wasn’t able to see a replay of key calls that may have been challenged.

“I should have just thrown the flag. That’s my responsibility,” Reid said, via PhillySportsDaily.com. “Now as it was all said and done it all worked out for us. But that’s my responsibility to do that. And we weren’t getting the replays, so I’ll look into that part too. But some of those were bang-bang shots that were a little tough to see a guy touch the back of his little hand warmer. So, unless you see a replay it’s tough to figure out.”

The question of whether and to what extent the coaching staff — especially of the visiting team — has access to prompt replay evidence represents one of the biggest flaws with the entire system. Obviously, the head coach of the visiting team won’t be seeing a replay on the videoboard when a challenge by the visiting team could succeed, because the home team’s video operator won’t be inclined to help the visiting team.

There’s also a troubling degree of discretion and/or delay that can be innocently exercised by, say, a Giants fan in the network production truck. (We’re not saying that FOX engaged in foul play on Sunday; we’re saying that the current procedure creates the possibility for any network — including NBC — to delay the availability of replay after a possible blunder by the officials.)

As we see it, this situation can easily be fixed. During the period in which the coach’s challenge procedure applies (i.e., the first 28 minutes of each half), each team should designate one replay coach who will be responsible for reviewing the replay and making a recommendation to the sideline. The replay coach would, during the first 28 minutes of each half, be in the replay booth, with the replay official monitoring whether a replay is available. And the replay official would have the power to instruct the referee to delay the next snap until the replay coach has had fair access to a replay of the prior play.

Yes, the approach could inject some additional delays into the game, but for the most part it would be only a few seconds. More importantly, this approach would ensure a degree of fairness that, currently, road teams sometimes don’t experience.

just do it like college. Have people up in the booth that look at every play and buzz down when something needs to be reviewed. then they review it and tell the ref. it really doesnt take as much time in college as people think, it only happens a couple times a game, and it works out pretty well. Enough with the challenges and the last 2 minutes, just have that shit for anything

I dont really care after the way it ended, but it does help make a little sense on why Reid didnt challenge when every other time hes so quick to throw. Also I heard the Eagles only had 10 guys on the field for that onside kick.

It's not even your joke, let alone fight.

Seriously, you're pathetic at BEST.

Pay up and be done with it.

I think it's still on Reid as you don't/can't always wait on the replay guy in the booth. The idea they suggest in that thread is awful as well and I'd much rather go with the college system in that case. Having a set official off the field watching communication links and timing is crazy. At that point in the game, they needed to take a shot at that challenge no matter what. It explains that Reid made an excuse for something that came close to costing him the fucking division if you ask me.

How was he making excuses??? Theres alot I dont like about Andy Reid, but one thing I can say is he never tries to make excuses for things.

He had one major fuck up in that game and he made an excuse for it NOBODY can validate. And even if it is the truth, he still had the ultimate choice to toss that red flag. That my friend is an excuse for a fuck up.

Gotta say I don't get foot fetishists. It doesn't repulse me, but it just seems kind of an odd thing to be into.

Whatever you're into, I guess. It's not hurting anyone, except now I have the image of Rex Ryan getting a footjob in my mind and I don't think I'm going to stop vomiting anytime soon.

I couldn't care less what the guy & his chick are into, I just think it's funny how he claimed his wife was a "supermodel too" to Tom Brady.

Now we understand the context. Eww

I don't care about what people are into in the bedroom. Once you put it out on the internet, I question your judgment, especially when Rex has a couple of teenage kids.

Most people are sex content providers because it's their primary source of income. The Ryans, if it's them, are just doing it for shits and giggles. That's a little fucked up.
