Oh and the threats he'll BLOCK/Delete you from twitter, fuck do I hate that shit. I love how fans are encouraged to lick balls but not ever voice an actual opinion. Twitter is just another means of celebrity now to manipulate people further. This fuck meets someone in the FALL and is engaged within the year!? How did it ever fall apart? I can't argue with that. Two bald guys & a bunch of hot chicks who couldn't care less what's happening on the field. Which would work great for you, because you would have something nice to take your attention away from the atrocities that takes place between the lines.

Owner Mike Brown said on Tuesday that he won't satisfy the quarterback's request for a trade. Brown says that a trade would reward Palmer for failing to play out the rest of his contract. Instead, they'll let him go ahead with his plan to retire rather than play for the Bengals.
Mike Brown is a dipshit. He doesn't want the "inmates running the asylum" yet in Cincinnati he has quite a few inmates. Enjoy another 3 - 13 season.
Does anyone know if Palmer would be able to play in 2015 (theoretically) or does he owe Cincinnati four years whenever (again theoretically) he returns.

Another Barry Sanders situation - fucking waste of talent. They should let Carson buy himself out of his contract - instead of making him decide on sitting at home.

Yeah, this is bullshit. If Palmer hates it so much, and you can get some value of this, trade him. It's not a big dick contest, Brown. Do what's best for the team. Do you really want to basically force the QB to play at gunpoint?

he should and only come back once the team spends is required salary floor. Then fuck them and make them have to make up his $13 million because they would then be over the cap. Hopefully by coming back he will fuck them out of drafting Luck next season.
Brown is an asshole and 1 of the main reasons we had a lock out in the 1st place. He is pissed that his team doesnt make other revenue that teams like Dallas and other big market teams from advertising revenue. Yet this asshole could make $10 million a year in stadium naming rights but he wants to keep the stadium named after his daddy. Thats a choice he makes, he has had such good teams and he is the reason for them never doing anything.

Palmer.....arbitration?
He was a highly rated QB who went to Penn St and transferred to Del. He was rated as high as a 1st rounder (late) but then had a bad east west shrine game and then he was late to meetings on his pro day so when the draft started they expected him to go 2nd round but maybe as later as the 4th round. When he kept falling I was hoping Miami would dradft him in the 3rd or 4th and then the 7th and they didnt. Now we were able to sign him and I couldnt be happier!
He was 1 of 3 QBs I wanted them to draft I wanted Mallett, Dalton, and then Devlin. I thought we could get Mallett in the 3rd (we could have) and Devlin in the 3rd or 4th. I thought Gabbert was the best QB in the draft but knew we had no chance and didnt want to take a QB that early anyway! Dalton was just a guy I liked because hes a winner and might be the most NFL ready!

It's not like he's helped at ALL since that pitt playoff game. Their only good year was when they handed off all day and even then his stats weren't great. Look at last year, he had some good wideouts, albeit aging, but good enough and he simply wasn't good. Lord knows if you make the playoffs and look pretty good for a full year being a run first team, everyone knows you sign a ball hog wr and throw to two prima donas all day via a guy who hasn't been good for a while in the NFL so you can suck like normal. Even more reason to dump him. Use Bruce Garkowski, or Daulton, or Tyler Thigpen this year. When you finish up 2 - 14 draft Luck as your QB of the future. If you would have traded Palmer to Seattle or The Skins you pick up and extra second round pick. Right now all Brown has is his dick in his hand

Contracts mean nothing in the NFL, so it's hilarious hearing an owner talking about "agreeing to a commitment".

It's funny how Brown talks about how a contract is a commitment, yet teams don't have any issue cutting players who are still under contract.
Contracts mean nothing in the NFL, so it's hilarious hearing an owner talking about "agreeing to a commitment".
Yeah - look at the Hanesworth situation. The Skins have paid him huge for doing nothing but being a major distraction on and off the field, and bitching and complaining etc...

Or do you want to set a precedent that all you have to do is threaten to retire (which HE WON'T) and you'll get whatever you want there. Sorry, Brown is an idiot for keeping his coach and players that are constant headaches and issues, but this is his call. Palmer is under contract, play it out and try to work out the issued in private.
You set the precedent. This is the NFL. When a player demands a trade, you trade him. You dont keep him to make a point while punishing your team and its fanbase in the process. Oh and there is no way he wears a Bengals uniform this year. Even if that means he "retires".
Under contract means dick. I cant wait to see how many stupid Eagles fans start turning on Desean Jackson to "honor his contract". Fuck that. If he takes one play without redoing his deal hes stupid. If I was him Id say Ill honor my contract, once the NFL has to start honoring them.

Plus I don't understand what people are saying that Nmamdi is going to be so expensive. HE WALKED AWAY FROM THE RICHEST CB CONTRACT IN THE NFL that was severely overvalued. He wants to play for a winner.
Sanchez isnt going to do shit unless he gets more in bonus or an extension while restructuring.
If I recall Oakland decided to let him walk not the other way around? Wasnt it the club option and they decided not to pick it up?

When the lockout happened I can see both sides of the argument and hate Goddell and Demaurice equally, they are both douches. But once a player signs his contract I will side with the player usually on these issues because the players contract never really benefits him. At anytime the player can be cut or traded (not many nfl players have no trade clauses). Yet if they want to be cut or traded owners then want to live up to that contract, fuck them cant have it both ways. Palmer should be released, he has been a good player and teammate for that shitty organization with no help.

On January 9, 2011 ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Nnamdi Asomugha's contract will void, making him an unrestricted free agent. Asomugha's contract contained a complicated little known clause that voided the deal if the star cornerback failed to achieve certain incentives. The contract also prevents the Oakland Raiders from being able to use their franchise tag on him. If he does not re-sign with the Oakland Raiders once free agency hits, the 30-year-old will be considered the top defensive player on the market.
Dont know for sure, but that sounds like it could have been either a voided contract by the team or by him. If it was void because he didnt achieve incentives that would probably mean he didnt do well enough so they could void the contract. I hope the Jets do sign him. Hes already 30 and will cost them a lot of money. When free agency started he said he wanted $20 mil a year. If he takes less then $14 or $15 I would be shocked!

Snacks, Sanchez said straight up on the record he wants to restructure his contract to help the team win. That's not speculation, that is fact.
As for NMAMDI, he opted out of the contract. It was his decision. He was allowed to do so if certain numbers for both personal and team numbers were not met, if memory serves. This was not a team decision.

I read up on the Asomugha contract. Basically, it was his decision because the clause states he can void his contract if the incentives are not met AND THE RAIDERS COULD NOT FRANCHISE HIM. That's the key part. The reason why he didn't hit his incentives is because he was injured for two games last year.

His effect on the city of Oakland will be gone? He is more than just a Raider, he is hope for all of the children in Oakland and if he really does leave the impact will run deeper than just football.
(UPDATE: Nnamdi's contract was automatically voided due to terminology that stated if he did not have as many defensive reps in 2010 as in 2009 or increase either his interception, fumble recovery or sack total he would be unconditionally released. Nnamdi is now a Free Agent)
Sounds to me he didnt have any choice.

Far from scared, like I said I HOPE he signs with the Jets so you can have 1/4 of your overall salary cap with 2 DBs that IMO are overrated and overpaid!
That was put in there for the Raiders to get out of overpaying him. Not saying it didnt benefit the player in the end but the raiders are a stupid organization and many people couldnt understand why they signed him to such a big contract like that in the first place. When they gave him that contact every analyst laughed and couldnt understand that much money for him. Even though he was a stud he wasnt worth that much especially at the time when they gave it to him.

Oakland has the money to keep him, Al Davis apparently loved the kid, so unless he goes back, you have to accept this was decision by Asomugha, not a Raiders' team decision.
Remember - contracts in the NFL are ESPECIALLY fluid. If Asomugha wanted to stay, he could have discussed with his agent to renegotiate the contract on that stip.

You have Asomugha's contract in front of you? You know exactly what it says? You know what negotiations (if any) happened between the Raiders and Asomugha? You're going by the words of sportswriters who said Noel Devine was going to the Falcons and Leinhart to the Seahawks? The same sportswriters who whiteknighted Tom Cable for kicking the shit out of an assistant but if a college coach did the same thing they'd kill him for it?
That was put in there for the Raiders to get out of overpaying him. Not saying it didnt benefit the player in the end but the raiders are a stupid organization and many people couldnt understand why they signed him to such a big contract like that in the first place.
Then why not just cut him if they didn't want to overpay him? There's still a cap hit but there wouldn't be so much money coming out of pocket. This isn't a standard clause in a contract which means it was inserted by Asomugha's people.
I'm not saying the contract wasn't overvalued but he already collected 30 million on it and he was in his last year. The Raiders were obviously blindsided by this because the quotes from the Raiders FO were basically "we need to see how this affects us when the new CBA is ratified."
The only reason you even like this guy now is that he might be a jet but once or if hes not you will then focus and praise some other loser because hes on your team. So blinded by ugly puke green and white its sad!

My argument isn't that Mike Brown is a good owner or anything of that nature, but his stance here is logical and makes sense moving forward with EVERY contract players on his team signs. The value of Palmer too is up bc teams know they have to wow him to move him. It's not only a great stance to take, it may very well get his point out there to others and he'll still eventually trade him for MORE. If he's smart he would make Palmer come to camp first to even have the trade be approved and keep his mouth shut. In a history of shitty moves and logic by Brown, if he plays this out right it'll be a rare good move for him.

The Raiders overpaid for the guy even IF he hit every point of his contract, so I'm willing to bet it was in there for the team, not the player. His contract was simply INSANE and he wouldn't have signed again in Oak if he actually cared so much about winning. He says that now so he can make the best of this situation, and show lesser teams it'll take BIG MONEY to get him. Let's see how this plays out before we deem he's some team player and willing to take less than his current value to play for a winner. I soooo hope he signs with the Browns or Bengals for HUGE money just to shut up Tenbats and or see him talk about how NA isn't a team guy and money chaser. Probably won't happen, but hey it would be hilarious.
OH and your breakdown on Snacks is HILARIOUS! HE TRIES TO POISON the conversation? He's scared too? Wow you have some funny shit swirling in that head. He's saying he'll BE too old at the tail end of the contract and it's probably true, even if he went to SD. That's a clear issue with him signing long term if he can't move to the SS/FS position easily. Trust me, he currently makes ANY team better, but at the same time will be taking a HUGE chunk out of their cap space. If anything, the Jets would be putting way too much money at one position, but this might be their big move to "go for broke" in the next few years since they feel they are close.

On the surface it looks iffy, but to me it's not such a bad move since they weren't willing to pay the players needed to get Kolb and are investing in their draft pick. To be honest, good deal in the end. He's a mentor, good stopgap and can win games vet style as they did with Kerry Collins did for a while.
Tyler Thigpen to the Bills is what I heard today.

In a history of shitty moves and logic by Brown, if he plays this out right it'll be a rare good move for him.
yeh i was thinking thats his ulterior motive to drive up the price for carson

So with this I ask the question. Who would you rather have at their current contract? Santonio Holmes who has never had a top 10 season, had more then 55 catches 1 time, avgs 5 td a season and is 1 failed drug test from being suspened for a full season. Contract of 5 years $50 million or $10 million a ywar
Rice has only had 1 good year 83 catches, 1300 yards and 8 tds, but other then that has never done much. He was hurt last year but did look good after coming back from his injury. Contract 5 years $41 million or $8 million a year?

deals are irrelevant as they can cut em at any time and not have to pay out full deal cept for whatevers guaranteed
so taking that out of equation i go with guy who is younger and taller
although depending on ur team needs you might need a homerun hitter like holmes to go deep and stretch the field, esp if u already have a rice type wr on roster

When I 1st heard Miami traded for Reggie Bush I wasnt too excited because I thought no matter what they would give too much for him and his new contract would still be too high. But at 2 year $10 million deal is fine by me and from what I understand it will be for a 5th or 6th round pick! Now Im happy and like the deal. He should fit Miamis offense much better then even Ronnie Brown did and hes younger and a much better talent for the same price Brown was last year!
I would rather them get Orton over VY, but I dont want to over pay money or draft picks for either. I actually rather just keep Henne, I still believe his problems are coaching and play calls more then his talent!

I wasnt impressed when he played here in 2009 and did nothing. Chad 85 goes to NE and now needs to get that jersey I'm sure. How much does COC give the guy? MY guess something goofy and 100k!
VY, who the fuck would want him right now? Cincy maybe? They like garbage and it seems to work out well for a little while there and then disaster. This has to mean it's bt SF and NYJ for NA barring any late entrants. I think Houston was smart to get Joseph bc they can't sink so much into one player with all their needs on D. I may have my facts wrong as I have been prone to do from time to time, but I have a question.
As far as I can remember, the whole fiasco with Haynesworth started because he was being a baby about having to switch from Tennessee's 4-3 defense to Washington's 3-4 defense. From what I can gather, New England runs the 3-4 as well, so why do they think he's gonna be a fit all of a sudden if his problems all began because of the defensive scheme?

Truth is, Orton would only be a stopgap anyway and add a LOT of question marks with the team. If the Dolphins are going to give Henne one last shot, bringing in Orton isn't smart. If he fails this year or at least doesn't move forward, you go for a new qb NEXT year so I understand this a little. However, they'll be using Bush more and more in short routes and better hope he stays healthy. If the team is smart, they'll go passing possession game with short underneath routes and let guys like Bush and (if he plays) Marshall bc Henne's still iffy at best.

The Eagles look like the team to beat this season. they now have 3 pro bowl dbs and 2 really good young wrs and vick. Great off season so far. I wish the jets had gotten Nammi because they would have so much money tied up but at $12.5 million that was a great deal!

The Onion fucking rules.
Nation Wants Some Fucking Football, Doesn’t Give Shit About Details Of Collective Bargaining Agreement
WASHINGTON—Following the announcement Monday that NFL owners and players had reached a deal to end their 132-day labor dispute, Americans across the nation expressed their desire for some goddamn football already and acknowledged they didn’t give two shits about the boring-ass details of the collective bargaining agreement.
The majority of the U.S. populace confirmed that nobody even cares about the stupid structure, length, or impact of the new CBA, calling for sports columnists, analysts, and broadcasters to “shut the hell up about lame revenue-sharing shit” and demanding the NFL play some football “right fucking now.”
At press time, Americans wondered why the hell no footballs had been snapped yet.
“Yes, great, I’m thrilled the NFL won’t have to cancel any of the 2011 season, but I don’t want to hear anything else about numbers or caps or any of that new money rules shit,” said 42-year-old Rick Baldwin, a contractor in St. Louis. “Just go, dammit. Go out on the field and play a fucking game.”
Yeah, pretty much this.

there are a few exceptions, obviously, but even those, guys like manning. i think they woulda been better early on with a few years to learn. even peyton woulda been better early.
I think those guys woulda been great anyway. What it really helps is the guys who arent GREAT. Aaron Rodgers didnt have the physical ability or knowledge of defenses to have succeeded right away like Peyton did. Sitting and learning before you get the confidence beat outta you helped make Rodgers great.
The problem was, because how much money first round QBs were getting, teams couldnt afford to pay the veteran and draft a guy and put him on the bench. Now, with the rookie scale, i think you will see alot more of it

i dont agree. I think SF has had plenty of offensive talent over the years. They just didnt have a QB who could get them the ball. And so they ran 40 times and injured all their good backs. And the decent WRs and TEs like Davis didnt wanna stay cause the QB blew.

i think the fact he fell in the draft and then had to wait behind favre made him the qb he is
if he got drafted high , for example by san fran and then played right away or waited only a year or maybe just half the first year he wouldnt have had the drive and desire he had and maybe flames out like david carr or ja russell

i dont even think that matters, watching the other QB. I think its more about having the time to learn the offense, learn the routes, reads, defenses, without having to make mistakes and A) hurt your confidence, B) hurt your team and turn the fans against you, and C) getting beat up like david carr cause you dont know where to go with the ball fast enough

This is it. When Rodgers was a rookie, I remember watching him in preseason games thinking..."WTF, this guy is terrible". Then the second preseason thinking..."He's getting better". Then that Cowboy game when Favre got hurt thinking, "Holy shit, we've got something here!"
Snoogans is right, without the time to adjust to the speed of the NFL, Rodgers wouldn't be the stud that he is today. By all accounts, Favre was a dogshit mentor, but Mike McCarthy is a great QB coach so that allowed for his development while he adjusted to the game.
Its a model that more teams should use with young QBs. For example, while I want the Vikings to fail, they should tolerate McNabb for two years while Christian Ponder adjusts to the speed of the game & figures out the NFL before throwing him to the wolves.

Watching Sportscenter, and I literally had to rewind it because of how retarded it just got.
Eric Allen is discussing the Asomugha pickup. Steve Levy starts the discussion about how Asomugha has no real "fantasy" stats because no one throws to his side. At the end of the discussion, Levy asks the retarded question of Asomugha v Revis. Eric Allen says he'd take Revis on his team because "he loves numbers".
Hey retard, this is the same reason people keep think Asante Samuel is good. He has a lot of interceptions because EVERYONE THROWS AT HIM.

Fits the SD Leaf vs Rivers past as well. Rivers also learned under a guy like Brees which is never a bad thing. Kolb is the best shot out there THIS year, including the drafted rooks bc as we are saying here, they won't be ready as Zona needs.

Jeff George seems to fit pretty nice and there are others. Cutler?
Oh and another way that seems to work ok is the Aikman, Manning route where you protect your rook a ton but let him throw all over and make mistakes as part of the learning process. The outcome had importance, but the qb's learning process and evolution meant a whole lot more. Bradford fit this bill last year too, but it's not many that can pull it off. Even some that can won't do well with it simply bc the team doesn't fit the bill, as Snoogan's Carr example. They simply couldn't protect him.

I seriously see the Bears taking a huge fall this year. How the hell did they do what they did last year to be honest? I simply don't see how Lovie had a job to start last year? But hey, at least they have Captain Diabetes to lead them ... for a quarter or two a game. I say at their best they win 9 next year. However, I see an 8-8 record on the way.

Now the joys of Lovie's coaching, Cutler's quarterbacking and a real schedule.

If you had called into 640 sports with a statement like this. They would have chewed you up. I don't think any deal would have been good from all the flak I've heard. Only former Dolphin Troy Stradford has had anything good to say on the move.

At $3 million I would have taken a chance with him. i disagree. if he was a qb then yes. but he is a wr that is known for his hands not his speed so age shouldnt hurt plax. he should actually be able to step right in and do what he does. he also should be able to continue and have a later in life career then normal because he is a hands and height guy not a speed guy. i actually think he should have a great year. holmes is the speed down the field threat and plax with be a possession guy to throw the ball up for grabs in tough situations and let him go get it. i think they will be better on offense this year as long at sanchez grows. im still not sold on sanchez being that good and i still personally like henne better and think he has a better arm too. i know its my opinion and i will get shit for this and sanchez went to back to back afc title games. but i watch sanchez weekly (forced too because im in ny area) and imo he doesnt have a strong arm or accuracy. what the jets have done is as a team and imo smoke and mirrors. they won a lot of games because of bad coaching and luck. its been more about what other teams have done then how good they are. partly i think like this because i hate them but there is proof to it too. just look at 2 years ago and how they got lucky to get into the playoffs and look at last year 2 or 3 wins came against terrible teams on huge comebacks in the 4th because of terrible play calling and mistakes by the other team not anything the jets did!

A 1 year 3/mill deal is worth the gamble. Now I wonder what happens with Cro.
I'd like to know how it's possible to know after a few years what Plax will be, so much that he's "an upgrade over Braylon"? It's as if Tenbats turns any Jet situation into the best possible outcome based on the past or hypotheticals. Sorry, it's just funny shit at this point. It very well could be a good signing, and def not a bad risk overall, but to say it like it's a fucking fact is simply tenbatsuzian.

maybe more pub, but the jets have never gotten more respect. they are clowns and everyone knows they are clowns
The Jets are louder, but not saying much but a shit load of bullshit. Yah yah, you like feet, your wideouts drive drunk, you hate the pats and super bowl bound, GOT IT.
Oh and what happened to Sanchez taking a cut, now it looks like LT had to step up to help sign Cro bc I've yet to see this claim acted on.

this is a jets town now, i know you hate it, i do too but it doesnt matter to me because i dont like either teams.
but thats the thing. I dont give a fuck what fans think. Jets fans are stupid. So what if they are louder. If its such a jets town why have the jets still not sold all their tickets but the giants have. Why did the giants charge 5 times the price on PSLs and still sell all their tickets before the jets? oh yea, cause you are wrong again

i disagree. if he was a qb then yes. but he is a wr that is known for his hands not his speed so age shouldnt hurt plax. he should actually be able to step right in and do what he does. he also should be able to continue and have a later in life career then normal because he is a hands and height guy not a speed guy. i actually think he should have a great year. holmes is the speed down the field threat and plax with be a possession guy to throw the ball up for grabs in tough situations and let him go get it. i think they will be better on offense this year as long at sanchez grows. im still not sold on sanchez being that good and i still personally like henne better and think he has a better arm too. i know its my opinion and i will get shit for this and sanchez went to back to back afc title games. but i watch sanchez weekly (forced too because im in ny area) and imo he doesnt have a strong arm or accuracy. what the jets have done is as a team and imo smoke and mirrors. they won a lot of games because of bad coaching and luck. its been more about what other teams have done then how good they are. partly i think like this because i hate them but there is proof to it too. just look at 2 years ago and how they got lucky to get into the playoffs and look at last year 2 or 3 wins came against terrible teams on huge comebacks in the 4th because of terrible play calling and mistakes by the other team not anything the jets did!
Snacks, most receivers fall back to earth as they push into the thirties, much less a guy at 34 who hasn't been on the field in 2 years. While Vick WAS a qb, and he destroys your qb/wr/speed based argument. If anything, his position is more closely influenced by age than qb, and due to his already average feet/speed, one can expect he'll be slow in his routes, lack much ability to break away from coverage and needs to learn a whole new system and qb. A qb I might add that isn't the best pocket passer out there. Yah, he'll have a shot to do well, and a one year 3/mill contract isn't terrible unless that does cripple them in other areas which it doesn't seem to do. You like the move, fine, I don't hate it myself. Still, it doesn't validate your take on his situation and expected production.

it wasnt a jets town at the time and the giants still have more fans never said they didnt. but the jets are getting the attention, the jets are getting players that want to play for them rather then play for the nyg. the lets are getting press that the giants are used. i cant believe you are making me defend the jets. the jets are like the mets they will never completely have the larger fan base or anything but there are certain times when they are the more exciting team to watch and be a fan of. lets face it the giants when they are good or bad are always boring. other then the super bowls they won especially the 1 against the pats they have always been very boring team to watch with no exciting players other then LT. They have never had a high powered fun offense and they have always been predictable. run on first run on 2nd throw short on 3rd.

I think we will have to agree to disagree. I think Sanchez will have more to do with his success then his age or time off. There is a reason so many teams were interested in him. Hes never had fast speed he has always been a possession wr. He is tall, long and has great hands. You over throw him or anyone else and he gets it where it would normally be intercepted but he is able to reach it when others cant. Look at Manning, since plax left mannings ints have gone up because plax got him out of trouble, he caught passes that would have been int instead he was able to still get to them.
Listen, do you really think I would praise a move by the jets? No but this was a great signing in my opinion. I think their only mistake was not giving him a 2nd year at their option. Like I said I think he will have a great season but it all depends on Sanchez, if Sanchez plays as he has then I see plax having a chance to lead the team in tds and maybe even receptions. they will throw to him in the corner of the end zone every chance they get. 1st is he needs to be a starter which I think he will be unless hes injured!

First off, I don't think Manning threw more picks bc Plax wasn't there. If anything his receiving crew overall was much better once Plax left, just younger and made more mistakes with the ball. I can remember at least 4 plays last year where a ball hit Nicks in the hands and he muffed it only to be picked off. Even with this, ever since that SB Manning has caused many of his own issues, not bc of Burress, but his decision making running around to avoid sacks and trying to make a play. He doesn't know when to take the sack or throw it away versus trying to relive that huge SB play. It's not the Plax effect factor at all.

Absolutely not true. At all.
The Giants are 3 years removed from a Super Bowl. The Jets are 42. I'm sorry, even with the Jets recent success, they will always be the 2nd team in the NYC area, just like the Mets are. Those are the facts, and I accept them.

Sanchez said he'd take a cut but the Jets never asked him to. I'm sure if Asomugha was in the fold it would be necessary, but none of the big money guys were approached by the Jets to take a cut.
Revis, Mangold, etc. were never approached about taking a cut. LT was probably approached to take a cut just like Kellen Clemens was last year. Basically, take a cut or we're gonna let you go.
It is a business. And that's probably one of the reasons why Cro is now playing hard to get because he knows the Jets need him back and he's insulted by what happened with Asomugha.

You were the one who was insulted that I said Plax was an upgrade. Long story short: Braylon's always had hands issues although he didn't have as many drops last year, and there is no guarantee Goodell is not going to suspend Braylon for pleading guilty to the DUI.
For all we know the league office has told the teams that he's gonna get four games for conduct unbecoming the league.

That's letting him off the hook on his claim to take a cut to line up needed/desired players and now it disappeared and LT has stepped up and is willing. It's not being reported in your way in any area or by any source so that's out the door unless something changed. You can't change a story to fit your false reality. "False reality"? What are you talking about? Unless either of us are in the locker room, we have no idea what's being said.
Asomugha was going to take 12-15 million to sign. The Jets made a shitload of cuts, and LT was renegotiating the contract while Asomugha was still in play.
Now, out of the 12-15 million to sign Asomugha, they've basically signed a bunch of role players and Plax. There's no NEED to renegotiate any contracts except for LT, who has a short-term contract.

Matt, it's being reported everywhere that LT stepped up and offered to redo his contract, as Sanchez claimed in the past, to sign more help for the Jets. Not ONCE has it been reported or even HINTED up to this very second that the Jet management is going to ask LT to restructure his contract. Don't be silly and stop it with this we don't know what's happening unless we are in the locker room. I'm going by what's reported, your going by fanboy hunches and protecting a Jet which is no surprise. And since when did contract restructuring and negotiations take place in the locker room?
Contract restructure: LT not Sanchez...but he's still saying it while others step up. Sanchez, "Absolutely, and my agent's already talked to me about it," Sanchez said last week. "Whatever we need to do to win, it's on." By it's on he means thanks LT for putting your money where my mouth is. Not that LT is poor and hasn't made any money in the NFL, but the guy making 2 million restructures to 1 million vs Sanchez or Revis stepping up. More so Sanchez since he put it out there and soaked up the team guy press like a sponge to water.
Mark Sánchez is willing to put some of his own money on hold for the betterment of the team.
He is entering his third year and is due to make $14.75 million in base salary this season, but could make as much as $17.75 million with bonuses. Restructuring his deal could help relieve the Jets' salary cap with teams operating at a cap of $120 million this year.
"I think our whole team feels that way," Sánchez said, "(Darrelle) Revis, me, whoever, it doesn't matter."

Been told that #Jets LaDainian Tomlinson will likely be asked to re-work his contract (less money) to free up cap space. #nyj
Again, LT is a short-term solution who is probably not going to be on the Jets next year, as they are using him as a 3rd down back. There is no need, from a business sense, to ASK to re-do contracts of your big money stars you want to keep for a long time when there's no reason to re do them with big name free agents off the market.
