Other factors like an O line giving him ZERO time in the pocket and a shitty coach hurt his value, not just the 2-3 games you watched him toss an iffy pass or dropped snap. The O line at certain spots are on their 3rd and even 4th string players! SD has had to go to the free agent market after depleting it's entire practice squad backups. Just like factors fucked Eli last year, there are plenty killing him too. Is he top 5? Of course not, but calling him dogshit is just fucking stupid.
